This is less of a blog post and more of a little photo album of our Christmas Day. It’s the first year we’ve spent it together as my husband usually travels to Kent with his family. This year he spent it stuffing his face with chocolate, watching Doctor Who and playing some super cool card games we got gifted.
We woke up to find that Santa had eaten his cookies and had placed loads of presents under the tree! (Yes, okay… in a co-op bag shhh! Santa’s got to do his shopping somewhere!)
My amazing husband cooked us Christmas lunch whilst I collected all the goodies I’d bought and set the table. Only when I opened up the table centrepiece, did I realise I hadn’t bought enough candles but it still looked beautiful.
I saw these glasses a few weeks ago, but felt it a little waste as we don’t drink. Unfortunately for my purse they were too cute to leave in the shop and we just drunk our fizzy pop out of them!
We spent the rest of the evening watching Doctor Who, having Lightsaber battles and playing cards. Although I’ll admit we had a little argument. Whilst tallying up our scores in Lost Cities we found that BIDMAS is finally useful. Does anyone even remember learning BIDMAS?
It was honestly one of the best days, let alone Christmas’ I’ve ever had. Even though it was just the two of us it was so nice to just pull ourselves away from the computers for one day. So much, that we’re going to set aside one night a week to play a game together. It sounds silly, but life gets so busy and it’s something we’re a little rubbish at.
How was your Christmas? I hope you had an amazing day!
